Frequently asked Questions
Why have I been travelling for so long?
It all started
with exploration of my own country on family holidays as a kid and with my mom
being a food & travel writer and Dad being a chef, the travel bug bit me
quite naturally.
Travelling for Food?
Travel is
much more than just partaking in extreme activities; it’s about immersing in diverse
cultures and trying new things…imagine local food markets, food habits….!
One of my favorite food travel experiences?
If you
love cooking and more importantly eating…then a local cuisine learning session
is definitely for you!
Cooking just wasn’t at the
forefront of my mind when thinking of things to do on a previous trip to Thailand.
Now don’t get me wrong, my first love is Food and yes I prefer it to Shopping.
Hence I gladly agreed to the suggested one day cooking course in the kitchen of
Sheraton Grande’s Thai restaurant, Basil. Within minutes of arriving, an apron
was hanging off me, and a towel dangling out of my left pocket. I looked quite
the pro. Within fifteen minutes I was dicing lemongrass, galangal and numerous
other fragrant herbs like a seasoned veteran. I also got to taste the food as I went. And with a certificate under
my belt (or apron), I could proudly impress your family and friends back home
with my newly-acquired expertise!
