OF THE SPA
The Chi Spa at the Hambantota resort is the
only one that offers both Ayurveda and Chinese treatments, making this spa
exclusive among the rest. The spa comprises of twelve treatment spaces, out of
which 5 of them, have an outdoor themed setting, which add an extra touch, while
getting a massage done. The spa focuses on using and promoting organic
products, the essential oils that are rubbed on your body during the treatment are
all made from natural raw materials, which are found in and around the area, a
common example being the usage of coconut in the spa products. The ambience
pays a tribute to Hambantota’s rich heritage and culture, making one feel, at
peace with the surroundings.

TREATMENT
The spa menu is extremely impressive and
offers a wide range of treatments. I opt for the Aromatherapy, which is
administered using aromatic oils. I am lucky enough to get the room with the
outdoor setting that is a major highlight for me when getting my treatment
done. A firm yet gentle massage with
long following strokes in special anti-stress oil release my body of stress and
strain. I slowly breathe in tranquillity as my body slips into blissful
relaxation. I am transported to a sublime tropical oasis where my senses are
gently awakened and phenomenal visible results obtained. The skin emerges
revived, refreshed, smoother, firmer and vividly brighter. I finish off my
spa time in the spa’s relaxation area, alongside a nice cup of herbal tea. From
the moment the word Spa came to my mind, I could only think of bliss and
rejuvenation…and the Chi Spa did exactly that!
